My Approach
I believe in individualized care. Everyone’s recovery journey is unique. Therefore, my approach is tailored to each client. However, I frequently use elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, Acceptance and Commitment (ACT) Therapy and trauma-informed treatment.
I meet my clients where they are, while also helping them to gradually challenge their eating disorder thoughts and behaviors.
I also work from a Health At Every Size and social justice informed perspective. I feel that this approach is crucial when it comes to helping people to heal their relationship to food, their bodies, and themselves.
Seeking treatment can be scary. As a human first and clinician second, it is so important to me that my client’s feel supported, respected and validated as they begin their own recovery journey.
I'm a big proponent that full recovery is possible. From my own experience, I can tell you that it's 100 percent worth it!
*I am taking on a limited number of new coaching clients. If spots are full, I am happy to refer you to another clinician or put you on a wait-list.
