Sa
rah loves helping clients to recover and reclaim their lives from eating disorders-to connect to their true values.

My Approach as an Eating Disorder Recovery Coach

I take a warm and compassionate yet firm approach when it comes to helping my clients to recover. I meet my clients where they are, while also helping them to gradually challenge their eating disorder thoughts and behaviors.

I work from a Health At Every Size info
rmed perspective, which I think is crucial to any kind of mental health care. I enjoy utilizing skills from DBT and CBT in my coaching work with clients. Additionally, I am a strong believer in intuitive eating and an "all foods fit" approach to coaching. I also love doing values-oriented work with clients.

My passion is helping people to find freedom from eating disorders and body hate, so that they can connect to thei
r true values and live the kind of life they deserve.

I am personally recovered from my own eating disorder, which is what inspired my passion for this field. I am so grateful for the work that I do as a recovery coach and have loved helping clients to recover.

*I am taking on a limited number of new coaching clients. If spots are full, I am happy to refer you to another clinician or put you on a wait-list.

Sarah Baginski, Eating Disorder Recovery Coach FAQs

1. What is eating disorder recovery coaching, and how is it different from therapy?
Recovery coaching is a more action-oriented form of support that focuses on helping you apply recovery tools in your day-to-day life.

While therapy often focuses more on deeper emotional processing, coaching is centered around building structure, accountability, and practical steps toward recovery. Many clients find coaching especially helpful alongside therapy or when they want more goal and action-oriented support.
2. What kind of experience do you have working with eating disorders?
I specialize in supporting teens and adults recovering from eating disorders, including anorexia, bulimia, binge eating disorder, and body image concerns, as well as disordered eating and athletes.

I have a Master’s in Clinical Social Work and also work as a psychotherapist in both outpatient and group practice settings. However, here I work in a coaching capacity.  I  have completed additional training in eating disorder treatment and coaching.
3. What is your approach to recovery coaching like?
My approach is warm, compassionate, and supportive, while also helping you challenge eating disorder thoughts and behaviors.

I draw from DBT and CBT skills, and I take a Health at Every Size-informed approach. I also incorporate intuitive eating and an “all foods fit” philosophy, along with values-based work to help you build a life that feels meaningful and aligned.
4. Do you understand what it’s like to go through an eating disorder?
Yes. I am personally recovered from an eating disorder, which is what led me to this work.

While everyone’s experience is different, I understand how difficult recovery can feel, and I’m passionate about helping others find freedom and reconnect with their lives in a meaningful way.
5. What types of clients do you work best with?
I work especially well with individuals who are ready to take steps toward recovery but may feel stuck or unsure how to move forward.

Many of my clients are looking for accountability, structure, and support in applying recovery tools in real life, whether that’s around meals, body image, or navigating challenging situations.
