My Approach
I tailor treatment to each individual client, drawing on their specific strengths and needs. I frequently use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and mindfulness based approaches. I also practice from a Health at Every Size (HAES) informed approach to treatment and believe that all therapy should be HAES-aligned.
I enjoy working with clients of all ages, but specialize in working with children and teens. I find that I am able to connect with children and teens and form trusting relationships-which is crucial to good therapy outcomes.
I also enjoy providing family therapy and feel that families can be a great asset when it comes to helping their children to recover.
I am compassionate and warm, while helping clients to challenge their eating disorder and reach full recovery.
In my work with clients I address both the eating disorder thoughts & behaviors, as well as any underlying issues-which may include depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, and relational struggles.
I love being a therapist. I’m so grateful to help people to find freedom from eating disorders.
