My Approach
I tailor treatment to each individual client, drawing on their specific strengths, challenges, and needs. I frequently use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Trauma Focused CBT. I also practice from a Health at Every Size (HAES) informed approach to treatment and believe that all therapy should be HAES-aligned.
I love working with all clients, however I particularly enjoy and specialize in working with teens and young adults. I find that I am able to connect with teens and young adults and form safe, trusting relationships-which is crucial to effective therapy outcomes.
I am compassionate, warm, and nonjudgmental-yet firm when it comes to helping clients to challenge their eating disorder and reach full recovery. In my work with clients I address both the eating disorder thoughts & behaviors, as well as any underlying issues-which may include trauma, depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, and relational struggles.
Being a therapist is my passion. I couldn't imagine doing anything else. I’m so grateful to help people to find freedom from eating disorders.
*I am taking on a limited number of new therapy clients. If spots are full, I am happy to refer you to another clinician or put you on a wait-list.
