My Approach as an Eating Disorder Therapist
I tailor my approach for each individual client, however I particularly enjoy using elements of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and Health At Every Size (HAES). I also enjoy using exposure and response prevention (ERP) for the treatment of OCD.
I provide a warm, compassionate approach, while helping clients to take concrete steps towards improving their relationship with food, their body, and ultimately themselves.
Additionally, I take a holistic approach to treatment and believe that it's helpful to work as a team (i.e. having a doctor, dietitian, psychiatrist, etc.) depending on the client.
In addition to individual therapy, I also offer couples and family therapy to help lessen conflict and improve relationships.
My passion and specialities are treating eating disorders & body image issues and OCD.
I love doing this work. I feel grateful to be able to help clients to find freedom and reclaim their lives.
*I am taking on a limited number of new therapy clients. If spots are full, I am happy to refer you to another clinician who treats eating disorders and OCD, or I can place you on a wait-list.
