My Approach
My Approach
I am passionate about helping people find peace with food and their bodies. It is for this reason that I chose to specialize in the treatment of eating disorders, and have spent my career helping individuals achieve full recovery (yes, full recovery is possible!)
I tailor my approach to meet the needs of each individual client, blending elements of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Enhanced Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT-E), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Additionally, I practice from a Health at Every Size perspective, which I believe is essential in treating those with eating disorders.
My therapeutic style is warm, genuine and compassionate. Having recovered from an eating disorder myself, I am able to deeply empathize with my clients, and find that this enhances my work as a therapist.
I am confident that together we can create a treatment that allows you to find freedom from food obsession and body hate, giving you access to a fuller, value-driven life.
*I am taking on a limited number of new therapy clients. If spots are full, I am happy to refer you to another clinician or put you on a wait-list.
