My Approach
I take a client centered approach, empowering clients to take back their lives from the eating disorder. I meet them where they are while helping them to challenge eating disorder thoughts and behaviors, as they journey through recovery.
I practice from a Health at Every Size informed approach, helping clients to focus less on the number on the scale and more on enhancing overall well-being. I've always known that the scale never tells the full story and hyper focusing on a number can lead to dangerous behaviors. This approach has proven to be successful during my time as a recovery coach. I am passionate about aiding clients in finding new meanings to life and new reasons to continue along a path of more values-aligning coping skills and behaviors.
I have had numerous trainings in DBT, CBT, and mindfulness practices and use skills from these modalities with my coaching clients. I take a holistic approach to treatment and feel that it is important that I collaborate with other providers on the client’s treatment team in order to provide the best possible care.
I love helping clients to break free from disordered behaviors, to discover food freedom, body acceptance, and self-compassion.
*I am taking on a limited number of new coaching clients. If spots are full, I am happy to refer you to another clinician or put you on a wait-list.
