My Approach
I believe that full recovery from an eating disorder is possible and this philosophy is at the forefront of my treatment approach.
I am a person centered therapist, which means I see clients as a whole and not as the disorder or issue they wish to overcome. I believe that in order to heal one must feel seen and understood. Thus, I strive to meet clients with compassion exactly where they are at and provide them with tools they can learn to use themselves.
I tailor treatment to each individual client, however I particularly enjoy using CBT, DBT, and mindfulness skills.
I am health at every size-informed and feel that this approach is crucial to helping people to make peace with food and their bodies.
I am recovered from an eating disorder myself-and I am so grateful to be able to help others to find the same freedom that I did.
Helping people to recover from eating disorders is incredibly rewarding and I can't picture doing anything else.
*I am taking on a limited number of new therapy clients. If spots are full, I am happy to refer you to another clinician or put you on a wait-list.

"Samantha is one of the best therapists I know. She is not only highly knowledgeable regarding eating disorders and all of the underlying issues surrounding them but she is also a wonderful person who truly shows her clients empathy and care along their entire journey of recovery. If you or someone you know is struggling with an eating disorder having Samantha as your therapist will be an absolute blessing!"
