My Approach
I tailor my approach for each individual client, however I particularly enjoy using elements of dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and mindfulness. I also find it beneficial to incorporate the latest research on neuroscience.
I use a Health At Every Size Approach and believe that this is a crucial element to helping people make peace with food and their bodies. I believe that this approach needs to be adapted by everyone, not just those in the eating disorder field.
In my work with trauma survivors, I create a warm, safe environment for clients to heal from their pasts and learn to create more meaningful futures. I believe in a holistic approach and encourage collaboration with loved ones and other providers.
Being a therapist is my passion. There is truly nothing better than helping clients transform their lives. Full freedom is so possible.
*I am taking on a limited number of new therapy clients. If spots are full, I am happy to refer you to another clinician or put you on a wait-list.
"Anyone would be lucky enough to receive therapy from Rachel. She truly meets each client where they are and provides excellent therapy. Her approach is warm and compassionate. She has the ability to make her clients feel safe, supported, and cared for. She has a very comprehensive background as a therapist but is always staying on top of learning and growing as a clinician. As someone that has worked with Rachel first hand I can attest to her excellent clinical skills and warm personality."
